Great Dinner!

Last night I made frizzled cabbage for dinner.  It was delicious.

I actually changed that recipe quite a bit since I added a package of store-made sausage meat (not in the casings), zucchini, and yellow squash.  I started the sausage first, so I left out the butter.  I used half a head of cabbage and wished I used the the whole head since it cooked down so much.  We topped it with a bit of Parmesan cheese.

It fit every requirement for being a recurring meal at our house. 
  • It tasted great.  We all liked it and Ginger had seconds...of the cabbage.
  • It is extremely low in carbs, a very important detail since Ginger has diabetes.
  • It is cooked in one skillet.  I'm a huge fan of "only one dirty dish cooking".
