Happy New Year!
I hope everyone was able to enjoy their holiday. I was able to get back to New Jersey to see my family. Yeah!
I'm thrilled to be hosting the first Hands on Homeschooling Carnival of 2010. I've been neglecting my blog lately and it is the perfect "excuse" to get me going again.
So...(insert drum-roll here)...ON TO THE CARNIVAL:
Barb-Harmony Art Mom presents Who Says High Schoolers Don't Use Crayons? posted at Harmony Art Mom. Barb's suggestions are always winners over here, so I will be heading over to her suggested link to check it out.
Pamela Jorrick presents The BEST Birthday Party Ever!!! posted at Blah, Blah, Blog. It tops any birthday party I've ever attended (or thrown for that matter).
Angie in Ga presents Why I Home School! posted at TheOneThing. Though it does not include hands-on examples or projects, it does echo a sentiment many of us feel, "Without hand-on learning many of our children would be lost or miserable."
(The following items are being added after the original posting. Sorry, for some reason they went to my spam box.)
Dana presents Raising all weather children in the country posted at Roscommon Acres. We're having plenty of snow related opportunities ourselves. When is spring?
Cherylinma presents Making Lye on the American Frontier posted at Talking to Myself - Homeschool Blogger. I'm so glad I didn't miss this entry!
shannon Dodds presents Snow Day! posted at Mommyapolis. Good idea! (I also forgot about snow ice cream until I read your blog.)
TristanDR presents A Simple Machine in Action: Wedge posted at Our Busy Homeschool. I'm glad I didn't miss this post either. It was a great physics challenge.
Craft Stew presents Amazing Leonardo da Vinci Inventions posted at Craft Stew. I will have to check to see if this book is in the library. It sounds great.
Thank you for all of the submissions and helping me get out of my "blog funk". It was a pleasure to host this month's carnival. The next Hands On Homeschool, scheduled for February 8th, will be hosted by Kris at Science of Relations. You can submit your article HERE.
