What I thought:
When I first put Tension Tamer on my skin, I was surprised by the warming sensation that happened at every point of application. At first, since the product description did not point out this effect out to me, I was concerned that I was having an allergic reaction to the product. After a quick glance in the mirror and the ingredient list, I realized I was NOT having an allergic reaction and this sensation was the desired effect.
The product smells wonderful and gets a little warm. The aroma and sensation does, in fact, seem to have a calming effect on me. In fact, I started keeping this product next to my bed and I apply it immediately before I go to sleep. After nightly application, I still have about 3/4 of the bottle left, so very little needs to be used to get the desired effect.
I have also started to use Tension Tamer when I get a headache. I still take my ibuprofen, but I apply the product to my temples and neck. I can’t say that it works on my headache, but since the aroma has the calming effect on me, I seem to feel better quickly. I still have the headache, but I don’t seem to feel as bad. I definitely recommend Tension Tamer.
I also continue to use the B.A.L.M. daily. My lips feel really smooth and I have used it now through most of winter. I need to confess that I do not like orange flavor anything and I received the orange essential oil B.A.L.M. However, the scent is not an over-powering orange and I only smell it while I am applying the B.A.L.M. and immediately following application. The scent doesn’t linger and I like that. I am thrilled that there is no flavoring. If I lick my lips immediately after applying the product, I don’t taste anything. B.A.L.M. also does not leave an excessively “waxy” feel to my lips. It’s nice.
I wish there was a B.A.L.M. product with an SPF. For that reason, I will only continue to use this product indoors and I won’t be continuing to use this product into the spring and summer gardening season. If that ever changes, and Beeyoutiful decides to add an SPF ingredient into their B.A.L.M., they will have me as a devoted B.A.L.M. customer.
